We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone number, payment information, driver’s license (for verification), profile photos, and vehicle information (for Hosts). We also collect usage data including search queries, page views, booking activity, and device information.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and improve our marketplace services
  • Process payments and payouts
  • Verify identity and prevent fraud
  • Communicate about bookings, account updates, and support
  • Personalize your experience (with consent) including recommendations and offers
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Personalization & AI

With your explicit consent, we use behavioral data (searches, views, booking patterns) to provide personalized recommendations, pricing suggestions, and targeted offers. You can opt out of personalization at any time in Account Settings. When you opt out, recommendation data is deleted within 30 days.

4. Data Sharing

We share information with: payment processors (Stripe), identity verification services, insurance partners, and as required by law. We do not sell your personal information. Host and Renter profiles are visible to each other only in the context of a booking.

5. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Behavioral data for personalization is retained for 12 months and then anonymized. Financial records are retained as required by tax and accounting regulations.

6. Your Rights (CCPA/GDPR)

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Portability: Download your data in a standard format
  • Opt-out: Opt out of personalization and marketing
  • Correction: Update inaccurate information

Drivana is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
